I’m an Associate of The Trinity College of Music, London and have a 100% ABRSM exam pass rate, supporting students through graded exams when that’s their goal — or simply helping them play for pleasure.Come and try a lesson — it could open the door to joy, inspiration, and a wonderful new skill.
About Me
Hello, I’m Kathryn. I have taught the piano since 2012, and know that music is transformative. Whether someone is seven or seventy, learning the piano will build your confidence and curiosity as well as teaching you a wonderful new skill.My teaching style is calm, encouraging, and responsive to the individual. Some students enjoy working towards exams; others simply want to play varied music or reconnect with an instrument they once knew. Lessons are shaped around what matters to you.There are also free piano parties for students three times a year: a chance for you to become part of our lovely community, play music, and enjoy some cake!I work with students of all ages, and I place a strong emphasis on musical understanding, enjoyment, and steady progress — without pressure.
Lesson Options
New StudentsLessons take place in my welcoming home studio just outside North Petherton, with easy parking. They take place face-to-face, Monday to Friday.New students are very welcome to book a trial lesson. For Spring 2026, I opened up 10 more slots between 5-6pm, which can be taken as 30-minute or hourly lessons. Only 3 slots remain, so if you'd like to reserve a place for you or your child, do contact me today.30-minute trial lesson – £25
60-minute trial lesson – £45Trial lessons are paid for individually.
Ongoing LessonsAfter the trial, ongoing teaching is offered on a subscription basis, which provides continuity, structure, and a committed learning rhythm for student and teacher.
